Why Women Have Bad Self Images!
Reported today by the Huntington Post (huffpost.com), images of Jessica Alba from the latest Campari's campaign have surfaced before and after airbrushing. Most print ads in magazines have been at the very least "touched up". Women who are chosen to be models have a certain body type that display clothes well. A designer wants you to focus on their garments, not the model who is wearing it. Or - if they in fact employ a celebrity to model their inventory, it is with the hope that the celebrity’s "fame" will drive sales. It is important that we as women do not compare ourselves or our bodies to these ads, because they are artificial and simply unrealistic, false and unachievable.
