A Splash of Color at the Wrist

Bracelets are an alternative way to add a splash of color without dressing from head to toe in rainbow hues. Bangles are fantastic for layering. Here are a few options:

1. Old Navy - Women's Mosaic Enameled Bangles $12.50
2. Victoria Secret - Sequin Enamel Bangles $18.00

3. W Hotel - Zebra Enamel Bangle $73.00

It is not Always the Clothes

This must be accessory week. For I cannot seem to get away from the add-on items that can so easily change the entire look of an outfit from dull into dramatic. For example, a gray pant suit paired with a white button down shirt and black pumps could be a bit drab, but throw in a vibrant green, orange or purple handbag and a pair of spectacular earrings with a simple metallic necklace and - Voila! A sophisticated and chic look. Another option: layer a pair of double or even triple strain pearls under (for a peekaboo affect) a beautiful Hermés scarf draped around the neck under the suit jacket and a pair of red patent leather heels – Presto! A conservative yet sassy look! Don’t be afraid to try new combinations.

Balancing Color

Hopefully, the spring and summer seasons will inspire you to wear more color. If so then you may want to stick to a neutral handbag. Canvas is a great neutral option.
