The warm weather is on the rise across the nation, so it is officially time to infuse a bit of vitamin D into our wardrobes. Let’s mix colors, sprinkle neutrals and transform “winter drab” into “spring/summer sass”.

Top 3 Ways to Brighten Up Your Closet:

1. Invest in a white pant. First, be sure to choose the cut that works best with YOUR body type. A white jean is chic for daytime, simple & sharp for the evening. It doesn’t’ have to be a jean, a white trouser works classic magic as well!

2. There is nothing more luminous & powerful then the color yellow. If this color does not fair well against your skin tone, choose a yellow handbag or shoe. Where there is a will there is a way (simply stated everyone can wear every color), it’s all about placement!

3. Color combinations are flourishing this season. The rule is there are no rules to mixing colors. Bold & pastels; sorbets & neutrals, and all in between. One easy way to ease into the multihued world is to begin with two (2) colors and add a neutral to ground the look. Be sure to try new vibrant combinations, you only live once.

A tank top and shorts is summer staple attire. Here are few ways to reshape, rethink and reinvent the basics without spending a dime! Like Emeril Lagasse says “let’s kick it up a notch”!

1. Add a long metallic necklace to polish & elongate.

2. Add a colored belt to brighten the entire look.

3. Add a scarf to flare up the ordinary.

4. Instead of a flip-flop try a ballet flat.

5. Exchange the tank top for a button down shirt.

6. Revisit the length of your short. Should you go up an inch or down one? It is really worth spending time on. Remember you will be wearing them all summer.

Have you ever heard the saying “everyone should have a theme song”. Bruno Mars came out with the song “Just the Way You Are” in 2010. This should be every woman’s theme song. Here are a few lines . . .

“When I see your face

There's not a thing that I would change

Cause you're amazing

Just the way you are”

YOU ARE AMAZING AND REMEMBER TO TELL YOURSELF!!
